It is shocking to think the United States of America could, at the whim of a tyrant like Bush Jr., decide to abort "lawful" government and institute martial law:

Criticism of the Bush administration's response to September 11 echoes Mr. Smith's warning. On June 7 of 2002, the former Presidential counsel, John Dean, spoke of America sliding into a "constitutional dictatorship" and martial law.

Should anything remotely like that happen, we can resassured, business will most definitely not be as usual around the world.

To blow hot air in the direction of a Union of Federates States, what could easily pass as a move back to an old British colonial era, the notion of State secession seems to be on the tip of many tongues (or fingers) as of late:
